On Friday, Neah Bay faced Lummi in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Neah Bay walked away with a 54-42 win. Since they won the last time these teams met, too, this is only more fuel for the fire driving Lummi's future revenge.
The game started off well for the Red devils, whose offense put up 24 first-half points. The Blackhawks countered with 16 points, leaving the score at 24-16 going into the half. The offense for the Red devils continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 30 points to put the game away.
The victory was the fourth in a row for the Red devils and raised their record to 7-1. This is the second loss in a row for the Blackhawks and nudges their record down to 6-3. Both of these squads appear to have finished up the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
