Brooklyn Barger made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Leyla Miller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs and one RBI. Indianapolis Lutheran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matches.
