The Newport - Bellevue Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 79-48 loss at the hands of Skyline. While losing is never fun, Newport - Bellevue can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Skyline is ranked 65th).
Newport - Bellevue lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaak Losoya, who scored 15 points. Jace Rainey was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds.
Newport - Bellevue's defeat was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-18. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Skyline, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.
Newport - Bellevue does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Skyline also has no future games currently scheduled.
