Wood had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Lincoln Fighting Zebras by a score of 59-48. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Fighting Zebras are ranked 780th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wood's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Wood and Oroville will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lincoln, they will head out on the road to square off against Vista del Lago at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
