Hammond had to endure a nine-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Springfield Bulldogs 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tornadoes have posted since April 15, 2024.

Josh Triolo was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had over his last three contests. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted over his last nine games.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-15. As for Springfield, they now have a losing record of 8-9.
