Davis was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They lost  3-0 to the Syracuse Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in September.
 While Davis was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-19,  25-17.
 Mirella Gonzales Carrillo paced Davis' offense, picking up eight kills. Gonzales Carrillo got some help from  Kate Donigan and her five assists.
 Leading Syracuse to victory were  Miyah Lish and  Presley Worthington.  Lish  had 31  assists and four  digs, while  Worthington  had 14  digs and three  aces. Lish has been hot for a while, having  posted 14 or more assists the last 31 times she's  played.  Maddie Wheeler also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
Davis' loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Syracuse, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record  this season.
 Davis and Syracuse are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. After both having extra time off, the Darts and Lone Peak will shake off the rust and duke it out  at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Syracuse, they will face off against Riverton at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
