The Southeast Cyclones waltzed into their matchup Saturday with four straight wins but they left with five. They blew past Rock River 56-30. With that win, Southeast brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.
Southeast got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ayden Desmond out in front who scored 14 points along with three steals. The game was Desmond's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Ayden Shimic was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Southeast pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Rock River, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on HEM at 1:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024. HEM is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Rock River will be home for the holidays to greet Encampment at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
