Williams is 0-10 against East Nicolaus since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Williams Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the East Nicolaus Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
After soaring to 52 points the game before, Williams were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were beaten by Hamilton 42-7. Williams was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.
Meanwhile, while it was East Nicolaus who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Colusa who put up more. East Nicolaus fell just short of Colusa by a score of 21-18. East Nicolaus has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Logan Cleary put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Tristan Kotko also helped out as he racked up 109 rushing yards.
Williams' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for East Nicolaus, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Williams might still be hurting after the 27-6 defeat they got from East Nicolaus when the teams last played back in November of 2021. Can Williams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
