While it was all tied up 14-14 at halftime, The Langley Saxons were not quite the Washington-Liberty Generals''s equal in the second half on Friday. Langley took a hard 35-21 fall against Washington-Liberty. Langley has struggled against Washington-Liberty recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Although Langley took the loss, they still got scores from Eli Dyrud, Robert Roncskevitz, and Will Mascatello.
Washington-Liberty got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Anthony Louis out in front who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Jonathan Bhojwani was another key contributor, throwing for 212 yards and two touchdowns.
Langley's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Washington-Liberty, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Langley will take on McLean at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (McLean is ranked 92nd, while Langley is ranked 111th). As for Washington-Liberty, they will be playing at home against Wakefield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wakefield is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
