Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marcellus). They blew past the Lawrence Tigers 23-3 on Monday. With that victory, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 7.6 runs per game.
Elin Essex was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Essex was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
