After both having extra time off, the Pine Hill Warriors and the Monument Valley Cougars will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 4:30 p.m. on December 28th. Pine Hill will be strutting in after a win while Monument Valley will be coming in after a defeat.
Pine Hill scored the most points they've had all season to find success two weeks ago. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Chesterton Academy 67-35 on the road. That 67-35 margin sets a new team best for Pine Hill this season.
Channing James continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with three steals. The match was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Rondy Henio was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Monument Valley was the victim of a rough 73-51 defeat at the hands of Escalante last Saturday.
Pine Hill's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Monument Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Pine Hill came up short against Monument Valley in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 65-58.
