The Columbia Academy Bulldogs entered their tilt with The Webb School Feet with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Columbia Academy managed a 60-55 win over The Webb School on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Columbia Academy was led to victory by Griffin Cooper and Jeremy Jackson. Cooper scored 19 points along with six rebounds, while Jackson dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Jackson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Mcclellan, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Several Feet players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Brown, who scored 15 points along with three steals. Brown has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. Jax Howard was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
Columbia Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for The Webb School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-7.
Columbia Academy will be playing at home against Franklin Road Academy at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Franklin Road Academy is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for The Webb School, they will head out on the road to take on Battle Ground Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Battle Ground Academy will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
