The Yazoo County Panthers fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 60-53 win over Humphreys County on Tuesday. For Yazoo County, this counts as revenge for the 54-49 loss Humphreys County walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 9th.
Humphreys County's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dexter Williams, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds, and King Scrivens who scored 18 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scrivens has scored all season.
Yazoo County's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-14. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Humphreys County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
Yazoo County will stay at home for another game and welcome Amanda Elzy at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. As for Humphreys County, they will head out on the road to take on Edwards at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
