The Estrella Foothills Wolves had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 48 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 90-6 win over Desert View. The result was nothing new for Estrella Foothills, who have now won eight contests by 30 points or more so far this season.
Estrella Foothills' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Raylee Hancock, who scored 16 points along with six steals and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Hancock scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alina Bowden, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Estrella Foothills pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47.82 points. As for Desert View, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
Estrella Foothills' homestand continues as they prepare to take on Sierra Linda at 8:00 p.m. on December 14th. Sierra Linda will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 229th, while Estrella Foothills is ranked ninth). Desert View will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Cactus at 9:00 p.m. on December 14th.
