The Randleman Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They secured a 74-69 W over Trinity. The victory was familiar territory for Randleman who now have five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Randleman to victory, but perhaps none more so than Greg Price, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Price has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyshaun Goldston, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dominic Payne, who almost dropped a triple-double on 21 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists. Payne is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brandon Campbell, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Trinity were working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Randleman only racked up 12 assists.
Randleman is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Trinity, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-7.
Randleman will head out on the road to take on Wheatmore at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wheatmore has now lost 17 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 20. As for Trinity, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Southwestern Randolph at 7:30 p.m. Southwestern Randolph knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Trinity likes a good challenge.
