Canton Central Catholic came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Clearview Clippers an 11-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Canton Central Catholic pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Clearview, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.
