The Aspen Skiers entered their tilt with the Moffat County Bulldogs with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Aspen took down Moffat County 67-52 on Friday. Given Aspen's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Moffat County is ranked 163rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Moffat County still got an impressive performance from Bryant Carlson, who scored 22 points. Ian Champ hafey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Aspen's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Moffat County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Aspen will be playing at home against Summit at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Hank Chabot and Tommy Franceschi. As for Moffat County, they will head out on the road to take on Basalt at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
