It was another big night for Zion Staples, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. Jaylen Reed was another key contributor, scoring four points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Artesia pushed their record up to 13-8 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Oxford Academy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.
