The Clinton Arrows will take on the Lafayette Commodores in a tournament on Wednesday. Clinton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Clinton let Center Hill stack seven runs on them in the third inning on Tuesday but luckily Clinton prevailed anyway. The Arrows came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 10-7.
Parker Burrow made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Burrow was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.
In other pitching news, Gage Temple looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Back at the plate, Wesley Warren was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brayden Johnson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
Clinton hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Lafayette entered their tilt with Jackson Academy on Monday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Raiders.
RT Winters looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He is becoming a predictor of Lafayette's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Easton Thompson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Waldrip, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Clinton's record is now 9-3. As for Lafayette, their record now sits at 6-4.
Lafayette's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Clinton hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .337.
