The Redmond Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Jackson Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Redmond is ranked 87th, while Jackson is ranked 65th).
Redmond pushed their score all the way to 55 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bellevue.
Despite the loss, Redmond got a solid performance out of Iha Kasam, who scored 25 points. The game was Kasam's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabel Schneider, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Jackson entered their tilt with Glencoe with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Everything went Jackson's way against Glencoe on Monday as Jackson made off with a 66-42 victory. Jackson's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Redmond has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
Redmond came up short against Jackson in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 39-31. Can Redmond avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
