The Bishop Kenny Crusaders came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 56-41 victory over San Jose Prep.
Bishop Kenny's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Clare Coyle, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Riley Talbert, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds.
Bishop Kenny's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for San Jose Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.
Bishop Kenny will be playing at home against Mandarin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mandarin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 95th, while Bishop Kenny is ranked 14th). As for San Jose Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
