Plainview has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Central Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plainview has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Plainview stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Dickson 80-31 at home. Plainview's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Emilee Hedger was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacelyn Hammon, who scored nine points along with nine assists and five steals.
Meanwhile, Central's seven-game losing streak came to an end last Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-44 win over Okmulgee. The win was just what Central needed coming off of a 74-13 defeat in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Montay Davis, who scored 31 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Central's points. Amari Robinson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Plainview pushed their record up to 10-2 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. Central's record is now 2-8.
Thursday's contest will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Hammon and Davis. Hammon has been dynamite this season: she has averaged 12.2 points, 3.7 steals, and 3.7 assists. For her part, Davis has averaged 20.4 points, 3.9 steals, and 5.4 rebounds.
