The Churchill Lancers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 75-41 defeat at the hands of North Eugene. Churchill was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.
North Eugene's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamani Winger, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonas Spencer, who scored 13 points along with six assists.
Churchill dropped their record down to 3-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for North Eugene, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
