The WestSide Renegades came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 49-21 win over Tug Valley. WestSide has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 23 points or more this season.
Bailee Hall and Brooke Spaulding certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Hall scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Spaulding scored no points along with two steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Tug Valley struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-3) when they can't control their own glass like that.
WestSide's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Tug Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. WestSide will take on River View at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. River View is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Tug Valley, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Man at 7:30 p.m. Man is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
