Overhills had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Harnett Central on Tuesday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 9-1 win. Considering the Jaguars have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kolt Berry was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. Houston Poole was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Overhills pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Harnett Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Overhills will have a chance to go back-to-back against Harnett Central: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
