Baseball Recap: Palisades Takes a Loss

Palisades was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in February.

Addison Rowland was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Palisades: the team is 7-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-11 otherwise. Gabe Diaz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Palisades' defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, their record now sits at 12-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palisades will challenge Ardrey Kell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Pumas' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they will square off against T.L. Hanna at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
