After a string of three wins, the Millburn Millers's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 63-51 to Newark Collegiate Academy. Millburn has not had much luck with Newark Collegiate Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Millburn still got an impressive performance from Noah Ravitz, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Ravitz also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Chase Plotkin was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Millburn's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Newark Collegiate Academy, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Millburn will finish 2023 at home by hosting Governor Livingston at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Newark Collegiate Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Montclair at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
