The Riverside Beavers pushed their score all the way to 70 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 80-70 to Solon. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (61), Riverside still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Riverside still got an impressive performance from Joey Durdella, who went 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 4 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Durkin, who scored 12 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Riverside and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Solon, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Riverside will be playing in front of their home fans against Perry at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Solon, they will head out on the road to face off against Twinsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
