Carver A&T's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Eastern Tech Mavericks by a score of 10-6. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Lily Anderson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. Anderson was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Lily Dennis was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.
