The Clearview Clippers will challenge the Bedford Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Clearview has now lost 12 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 21st.
Clearview managed to slip by Brookside the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Clippers came up short against the Cardinals on Thursday, falling 14-2.
Clearview saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Bristor, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Bedford made easy work of Garfield on Thursday and carried off a 17-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bearcats.
Levi Coleman made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Coleman was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dejhaun Carroll, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Tyler Pryor, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs.
Bedford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .704. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garfield only posted an OBP of .400.
Bedford's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Clearview, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Clearview got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against Bedford by a conclusive 16-6 score. Will the Clippers repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
