Basketball Recap: Effie Kokrine Charter Gets the Win

If Tok wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Effie Kokrine Charter, they should've done a better job of containing Jonas Carroll. The Effie Kokrine Charter Warriors strolled past the Tok Wolverines with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 66-50 for which the team can thank Carroll, who posted 26 points. The contest was his third in a row with at least 16 points.

When it comes to explaining why Tok lost, don't look at Marvin Captain. Despite the final result, he put up 27 points and three steals. Chairo Espinosa was another key player, putting up eight points along with nine boards and six assists.

Effie Kokrine Charter's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Tok, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.

Looking ahead, Effie Kokrine Charter will face off against Unalakleet at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Unalakleet will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Effie Kokrine Charter surely won't give up without a fight. Tok does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
