Hunter Squire posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

Squire and Gateway will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cape Coral at 7:00 p.m. on March 24th.
