The Centennial Chargers will take on the Champaign Central Maroons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Champaign Central took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Centennial, who comes in off a win.
Centennial barely beat Rantoul the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers blew past the Eagles 10-3 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Zoe Goodreau made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
