The Wade Hampton Generals will head out on the road to face off against the Riverside Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wade Hampton is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Even though Laurens scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Wade Hampton still came out on top. Wade Hampton walked away with a 68-56 victory over the Raiders.
Meanwhile, Riverside stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 64-44 margin over Laurens. Given Riverside's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Raiders are ranked 156th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wade Hampton's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-16. As for Riverside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
Wade Hampton lost to the Warriors on the road by a decisive 52-37 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Wade Hampton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
