Two dominant signal callers in Cole Anderson and Jalen Parker are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Shawnee Renegades will challenge the Winslow Township Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Shawnee comes in on four and Winslow Township on seven.
Shawnee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They took down Pennsauken 28-12.
It was another big night for Brett Lundberg, who rushed for 131 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 carries. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Shawnee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 361 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winslow Township). They blew past Cumberland 56-0 on Saturday. Considering the Eagles have won six matchups by more than 34 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Winslow Township's win came from a few key players Shawnee will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nyqir Helton, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two scores. His receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 100 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nakeem Powell, who rushed for 76 yards on only nine carries.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Winslow Township, racking up 12 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Quayd Hendryx, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Winslow Township's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 4.5 times. In that department, Robert Carstarphen was the leader with two sacks. Benjamin Carter Jr was another major factor on D, picking up 1.5 sacks and making nine total tackles.
Shawnee's record now sits at 7-3. As for Winslow Township, their record is now 8-2.
Shawnee might still be hurting after the 32-8 defeat they got from Winslow Township in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Parker, who threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes.
