Basketball Recap: North Hills Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Zachary Strickland and Noah Dendy

North Hills Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Statesville Christian Lions at home by a 64-49 margin. The Eagles were down 44-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

North Hills Christian's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Noah Dendy, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 15 points and three steals, and Zachary Strickland, who posted 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Dendy a new career-high in points.

North Hills Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Statesville Christian, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-7.

North Hills Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Victory Christian Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Victory Christian Center knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully North Hills Christian likes a good challenge. As for Statesville Christian, they will face off against Hickory Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
