The Monticello Billies will head out to  face off against the Rison Wildcats  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their  matchups after big wins in their previous games.
Monticello barely beat Watson Chapel the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Billies never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with  a   9-0  victory  on Tuesday. The  win continues a trend for the Billies in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won eight in a row.

 Hudson Harvey made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those  12  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 1-for-1 with one  double and one  RBI.
 In other pitching news,  Bo Hammock looked comfortable as he  tossed one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts (three).
 Back at the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Blaine Hayden, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Tye Guthrie also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
 Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when Rison challenged Dumas on Tuesday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by  a  14-1 margin over the Bobcats. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 11  runs or more this season.
 Rison has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Monticello, their record now sits at 6-8.
