The Booker T. Washington Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the Middle College Bulldogs at 6:00 a.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Booker T. Washington beat Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering 39-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Booker T. Washington.
Booker T. Washington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Antaniya Britt, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. Britt is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cariyonna Banks, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, Middle College came tearing into Monday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they left with even more momentum. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Brighton 64-34 at home. Middle College's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
The win got Booker T. Washington back to even at 3-3. As for Middle College, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Booker T. Washington was dealt a bruising 59-21 defeat at the hands of Middle College in their previous matchup back in February. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Booker T. Washington was down 45-6.
