The Potomac Falls Panthers put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Broad Run 69-49. Potomac Falls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight contests by 20 points or more this season.
Potomac Falls got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Johnny Opiola out in front who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Opiola scored 15 or more points. Colby Margenau was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
Potomac Falls pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.6 points per game. As for Broad Run, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.
Potomac Falls will challenge Riverside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 714 points over their last ten matchups. As for Broad Run, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Loudoun County at 7:15 p.m. Loudoun County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 371st, while Broad Run is ranked 82nd).
