North Cross has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Carlisle Chiefs at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
North Cross scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Roanoke Valley Christian 56-21 at home. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for North Cross considering their 25-point performance the game before.
North Cross' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dajah Garrison, who scored nine points along with four steals. Garrison is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Cate Overton, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Carlisle strolled past St. Margaret's with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 73-54.
North Cross' victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Carlisle, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.
North Cross came up short against Carlisle in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 53-44. Can North Cross avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
