Arthur-Okaw Christian has struggled against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond recently, as their contest on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Arthur-Okaw Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Lee, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Helmuth, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Arthur-Okaw Christian struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Nettles, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Nettles scored 15 or more points. Easton Frederick was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Arthur-Okaw Christian's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 5-7. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-9.
Arthur-Okaw Christian and Westlake Christian Academy will round out the year against one another at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th at. Hopefully Westlake Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 last Thursday. Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against St. Teresa at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st.
