The Northland Vikings will head out to square off against the Marion-Franklin Red Devils at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. Northland has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Northland is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Mifflin just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 14-8 to the Punchers.

Savon Craighead made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Singleton, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Marion-Franklin posted their closest win since April 22, 2024 on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past East 7-6. The win was nothing new for the Red Devils as they're now sitting on three straight.
Tony Jared was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 15 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off only two hits. Jared was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Jaron Collins and Maxin Warner did most of the damage at the plate: Collins went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double, while Warner went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Jamarion Parks, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
The loss was their first at home , dropping their record down to 5-4-1. As for Marion-Franklin, their record now sits at 5-3.
Everything went Northland's way against Marion-Franklin in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Northland made off with a 9-3 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
