Spring Grove waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed past the Muhlenberg Muhls to the tune of 35-0. Considering the Rockets have won six contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spring Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Davis Baum, who rushed for 56 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 121 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. What's more, Baum posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Spring Grove also got a significant boost from Brody Redding, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 122 yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Spring Grove's defense and their five sacks. In that department, Jayden Moore was the leader with two.
Spring Grove's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Muhlenberg, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 8-3.
Coming up, Spring Grove will challenge New Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Rockets 14.8, the Colonials 11) so any points scored will be well earned. Muhlenberg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
