Legacy has won three straight games at home, while Cherry Creek has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Lightning will host the Bruins at 1:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Saturday, Legacy made easy work of Silver Creek and carried off a 14-7 win.

Kellen Reiser was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Legacy: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Braidon Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
Legacy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cherry Creek). They were the clear victors by a 19-3 margin over Smoky Hill on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Bruins in their matchups with the Buffaloes: they've now won six in a row.
Max Goldberg looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Connor Larkin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Schultz, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Cherry Creek's win bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for Legacy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
Legacy couldn't quite finish off Cherry Creek in their previous matchup back in May of 2017 and fell 4-2. Will the Lightning have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
