The Lennard Longhorns will venture away from home to challenge the Strawberry Crest Chargers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
As a matter of fact, Lennard put up the most points they have all season on Thursday. They blew past Riverview 27-4. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Longhorns with their most commanding win of the season.
Pablo Garcia looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has become a key player for Lennard: the team is 5-2 when he allows at most one hit, but 2-8 otherwise.

The team also got some help courtesy of R.J. Torres, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.
Lennard kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.4.
Meanwhile, Strawberry Crest entered their tilt with Middleton on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 17-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
Tripp House looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Knight got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Cappucci went 2-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Matt Hall, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
The victory made it two in a row for Lennard and bumps their season record up to 7-10. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Strawberry Crest, their record is now 15-4.
