Dylan Chavez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 35 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Daniel Lovato was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Farmington still got an impressive performance from Cody Vassar-steen, who scored 35 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Vassar-steen is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Beck, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
La Cueva's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Farmington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-4.
La Cueva will head out on the road to square off against Eldorado at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in La Cueva's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 18 matchups. Farmington will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Piedra Vista at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Farmington is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64.3 points per game this season.
