Emma Minnick made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season.
Minnick wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alli Morrissey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs Morrissey has posted since back in May of 2024. Colony hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in 11 consecutive games.
