Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tyler Bernett and Brody Boothe Lead Bishop Rosecrans to Victory

Bishop Rosecrans won the last time they faced Wellington School and things went their way on Saturday too. The Bishop Rosecrans Bishops walked away with a 62-49 win over the Wellington School Jaguars. Given the Bishops' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Jaguars are ranked 796th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Bishop Rosecrans to victory were Brody Boothe and Tyler Bernett. Boothe went 11 of 21 en route to 30 points, while Bernett dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 boards. The game was Bernett's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kohen Harris, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Bishop Rosecrans has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.9 points per game. As for Wellington School, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Bishop Rosecrans will take on Patriot Prep Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Patriot Prep Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.6 points per game this season. As for Wellington School, they will challenge KIPP Columbus at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wellington School is facing KIPP Columbus at the right time seeing as KIPP Columbus is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
