East Lyme's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Mitchell Murphy threw for 120 and 2 touchdowns and Dean Beebe had 62 yards receiving. On the ground Eric Stirten chipped in 141 yards.
The Vikings' dynamic duo of Murphy and Beebe proved tough for Woodstock Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Stirten provided a threat through the air and on the ground as East Lyme topped the Centaurs.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, New London's Danny Maranda and Jose Garcia* have proven to be a lethal combination. Maranda has thrown for 301 yards this season, while Garcia* has 8 catches for 143 yards. Rudy Bagos' team's Stirten leads the league in rushing yards with 374.
The Vikings are currently in second, while Fitch is in fourth.
East Lyme made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,632 from 8,144. The improvement was the result of a 40-14 victory over Woodstock Academy last week.
