Rock Springs has gone 9-1 against Green River recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The TIGERS will take on the Wolves at 3:30 p.m. Rock Springs has given up an average of 9.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
On Saturday, Rock Springs didn't have quite enough to beat Torrington and fell 12-11.
Rilynn Wester and Tarin Anderson did some serious damage despite the final result: Wester went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Anderson went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Taylor Flores also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Green River, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in March. They walked away with a 12-9 win over South last Friday.
Haidyn Terry made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits. Terry was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one double.
In other batting news, Green River got a massive performance out of Kodi Allred, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Chacee Shiner, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4.
Rock Springs has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8-1 record this season. Green River's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2.
Everything went Rock Springs' way against Green River when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Rock Springs made off with a 10-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the TIGERS since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
